Co-hosted by Dr. Ruta Nonacs, a clinical psychiatrist at Mass General Hospital and Harvard Medical School, and Allie Hales, a mom of four, this show isn't just for real moms, it's by real moms. Because moms don't just deserve support, they deserve solutions—whether before or during pregnancy, postpartum and beyond.

Allie Hales is a maternal mental health advocate and co-host of So Glad You Asked, a maternal mental health podcast created in partnership with the Ammon-Pinizzotto MGH Center for Women’s Mental Health. Through her work, she is passionate about helping women and families access trusted, evidence-based information so they can make informed decisions throughout trying to conceive, pregnancy, postpartum, and parenthood.

Originally from Massachusetts, Allie helped bring forward the vision for a patient-facing maternal mental health resource platform in collaboration with the team at Massachusetts General Hospital. Her work is rooted in the belief that maternal mental health is deeply connected to access to reliable, understandable information — and that women deserve conversations that are both evidence-based and deeply human.

Allie lives outside of Boston with her husband, Riley Hales, an anesthesiologist at Newton-Wellesley Hospital, and their four children.
